This coffee comes from Sul de Minas — the largest Arabica coffee-growing region in Brazil, responsible for around 30% of the country’s Arabica production. The region’s climate, topography, and geography make it an ideal place to grow some of Brazil’s finest coffees. Mundo Novo is a well-known Arabica varietal that is especially traditional in Brazil and typically displays the chocolate, nut, and caramel notes characteristic of Brazilian coffees.
Strict quality criteria ensure a high standard: altitude, careful selection of Arabica varietals, legal compliance, and cupping scores above 80 SCA points. In addition, the coffee is stored in accredited warehouses to guarantee quality control.
In recent years, a more meticulous approach, investments in technology, attention to detail — especially in post-harvest processes — and close collaboration among producers have significantly raised the quality of Sul de Minas coffees, reaching previously unseen levels of excellence.
